East Kent Coastal Studio Trail

The optimum Trail Day to visit the event this year is June 6th, when all the seven studios are open and the artists present.

South East Open Studios has become an annual dynamic and growing showcase of talent and creative enterprise. 300 artists & makers across Kent and East Sussex open their studio doors to the public to share their artistic passion between 4th – 20th June.

FAC at Googies Art Cafe

A new exhibition of art and photography by members of the Folkestone Arts Collective (FAC) opens on April 1st at Googies Art Cafe, in Rendezvous Street, Folkestone.

We are particularly excited about this event because it is not only our first exhibition of this decade, but also our first public event representing the new ‘Folkestone Arts Collective’. www.folkestoneartists.org.uk

Come along and browse new and fabulous work by our artists, while enjoying the wonderful ambience and hospitality of Googies, with a selection of good food, fine wines and beers. There is free entry to the exhibition, which continues until April 28th, and is open during the cafe’s normal trading hours.

SEAS (South East Artists) at The Horsebridge, Whitstable, Kent

SEAS

Welcome to our first Mixed Media exhibition at the Horsebridge, showing work by 21 very different artists. SEAS (South East Artists) was formed in 2005 with the aim of actively promoting the visual arts and crafts in the local community. We seek to provide a framework to motivate, encourage and challenge all artists towards pursuing their creative ambitions and working towards a standard of excellence.

25th March until 5th April

Folkestone Art Society Autumn Exhibition 09

Folkestone Art Society

The Folkestone Art Society Autumn Exhibition will be held at The Grand on The Leas (www.grand-uk.com), at Folkestone from Wednesday 4 November to Sunday 22 November 2009

The exhibition opens at 10am each day and closes at 5pm except on the last day when the exhibition closes at noon. The Autumn Exhibition usually has over 200 paintings and works of art on view and the majority of the work is for sale. The exhibition is rightly considered an important event in the arts calendar of the south-east and the Society’s previous exhibitions have drawn praise for the high standard of work exhibited.

Visitors are asked to vote for their favourite work of art and prizes will be presented to the winning artists.

Folkestone Art Society Summer Exhibition

A Summer exhibition of work by members of the Folkestone Art Society will be held in the wonderful Palm Court of The Grand from Saturday 22 to Monday 31 August 2009.
Entry is free and the exhibition can be viewed during the normal opening times of the Palm Court Restaurant (see www.grand-uk.com).
